Recently I traveled to Lawrence, Kansas to celebrate Nicole + Josh! I met Nicole last year; she coordinated two weddings that we had in Kansas (Revelry House Events). I was immediately so impressed with the patience she had with every vendor and the organization to manage them well. Nicole carries peace with her everywhere she goes and lights up a room. She loves people better than anyone I know, and this weekend was a shining example of the way she celebrates others.

So of course, I was so excited when she and Josh announced that they were engaged, because it just seemed like the fulfillment of something greater to come. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of something that significant? It’s not an overstatement to say that I am honored she chose us!

The wedding and reception took place at the beautiful Circle S Ranch (pictures below) with the kindest staff I’ve ever met. As a wedding vendor, you get to meet some pretty incredible people who are extremely talented and this trip was no exception. I was blown away by how everyone worked as a team, regardless of their job description.

I can’t wait to see how well Emily Nystrom and the guys from Kindling captured this fun night, but until then I thought I would share some of my favorite highlights of the evening! First, we kept her color palette simple, elegant, and light. It was difficult trying to compliment the aesthetic of the venue based on pictures alone, but I really love how everything tied together in the end. The ceremony was held outside and thankfully the weather cleared just in time. We created a garland using Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Olive Branch for the archway. I love the simplicity of greenery and how it brings everything together (May also be cost effective!) For the reception, Nicole brilliantly named each table after a district or place (a long with a description) that was significant to her and Josh. She included antique gold tealight candles and incorporated her bridesmaids bouquets as centerpieces. We continued with the garland aspect on the tables as well by laying Silver dollar eucalyptus + Spray roses across.
